Is Candice the right fit for you?

Counselling is an individual experience, in order for counselling & therapy to be effective, it is essential that you feel comfortable and safe with your practitioner. Not all counsellors are the same and it is important you find the right fit for you in order to make the most out of your experience.

REFERAL PATHWAY 

Self referral welcome - Please contact via email/ phone to arrange free consultation.

You do not need a Mental Health Care Plan to access counselling services, and you do not need a GP referral. 

Unfortunately, counsellors are unable to offer Medicare rebates, you may however be able to claim through your Private Health Insurance depending on your policy.

SERVICE DELIVERY 

Candice offers both short and long term individual counselling depending on your needs. 

Face to face counselling on the Mornington Peninsula 

Counselling and Programs are delivered via telehealth (phone or zoom). 

By appointment only.

ONLINE COUNSELLING

Online counselling is an incredibly effective and easy to access method for professional support around 

your schedule, in the comfort of your own home. Online counselling is also particularly helpful for those who have experienced trauma, online delivery allows the client to feel safe and empowered in a familiar and comfortable environment.  

​

In order to participate in online services delivery you will need to have access to a phone and/ device with zoom/ hangout capabilities and access to a private space. 

​

Online counselling is not for everyone. If you feel you are a risk to yourself or others, online counselling is not a suitable intervention- please see crisis support page for details on immediate supports available.

CANCELATION POLICY

Please contact via email/ phone/ SMS as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If cancellation occurs under 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, a 50% cancellation fee may apply. 

No cancellation fee applies for COVID related cancellations  

FEES & PAYMENT 

Invoices will be issued via email and must be paid within 48 hours of your session.

PRIVACY / CONFIDENTIALITY / DUTY OF CARE 

 

Candice has a duty of care to you as the client, the broader community as well as legislative requirements in line with her practice. As with face to face counselling, you will be asked to complete a client intake form, including details of your GP and a person Candice can reach out to if you needed to be supported by someone.

Change is Insight Counselling is a safe, ethical, private and confidential practice and therefore all clients will be required to read and consent to the client confidentiality and consent form prior to engaging in counselling sessions.
